Privacy policy
NestEgg is private by design: the app is self-hosted, wealth data never leaves the house, and nothing is shared or sold. This page describes what is stored and what is not.
What data is stored?
- Account details: name, email address and birth date (the birth date drives the pension ages).
- The financial data you enter or import yourself: accounts, portfolios, pensions and drawdown scenarios.
The PensionsInfo report
The report (PDF) is only read to create the pensions — the file itself is not stored. What remains is the pension data you can see and edit in the app.
Where does the data live?
NestEgg runs self-hosted. Wealth data is not sent to third parties; only market data — prices, fundamentals, exchange rates — comes in from outside.
Cookies and localStorage
The public pages set no cookies. After sign-in the app uses the browser’s localStorage for the essentials: your session token, your language choice and your theme choice. Google Analytics loads only once you are signed in — the anonymous pages are analytics-free.
Your rights
You can view and correct your data directly in the app. You can request access to or deletion of your data through the in-app feedback function — deleting the account removes the household’s data.
